The Demand: "What is Company X going to do to ensure that this problem never happens to us again?!"

The Answer: "Why, disconnect your service with Company X, of course."

The Reason: It's more than likely that no one knows, or will ever know what anomaly caused the problem. Besides, it's more cost effective to nix you, the client than to pursue the root cause with the effort of countless company resources.
